This event raises much-needed funds for the Hospice Movement annually, and this year the event attracted the largest crowd ever seen. The Hospice Movement's clinical nurse specialists, together with GPs and Public Health Nurses, continue to provide care for people with specialist palliative care needs in the community. As well as the relief of symptoms they offer emotional support to families. The service is available seven days a week and every day of the year, with an on-call service at night for those in their care.
This is the service that so many people are supporting when they donate, fundraise and attend events in aid of the South Tipperary Hospice Movement, and for this they are so grateful.
Legacies are also a very important revenue stream, and anyone who is making a will is encouraged to include a provision for the Hospice Movement.
As well as expressing gratitude to everyone who has supported the organisation over the years, the Movement says the clearest expression of that appreciation is to continue to provide a service worthy of such goodwill and support to the community.
